Like the one who always loved the power and shape of the DeathAdder, but seemed a little too big and clumsy, the DeathAdder V2 Mini is divine. DeathAdder Mini is a smaller version of the world’s most popular game mouse. It has the same features that made the original so popular, such as Razer’s optical switches and a brilliant design that is 20 grams lighter.

It’s not just the weight that has been reduced to a large extent, it’s also the price. Personally, I think enough people would prefer a smaller, lighter DeathAdder to get away with the same price. However, there is no reason to complain about the price cut.

Apart from the size, the sensor is the only thing that has been lowered to guarantee a low price. The only difference you’ll notice is the maximum power, as it reaches 8,500 DPI. So, if you’re one of the few people playing with more than 8500 DPI, you have to stick to the normal DeathAdder, but if you stay within the normal DPI range, the sensor on the DeathAdder Mini is at the top.

DoodAdder V2 Mini – deep vision

Let’s move on to a more detailed overview.

Designs: Less, lighter, faster.

Players who have tried light mice know that it is difficult to go back. Weight is crucial when you enjoy the fast pace of competitive games such as Legends League and CS:GO. The ability to move the mouse with as little weight resistance as possible makes it possible to play the clutch quickly and move the mouse more easily, and only a handful of mice can compete with the 62g design of the DeathAdder Mini.

That’s why I prefer the mini-version of the normal DeathAdder, although it is cheaper and has a less powerful sensor.

DeathAdder is known for its highly ergonomic design. On the right side it has a large curve that makes it possible to push the light and on the left side it has a smooth inner curve with two easy to use thumbknobs. This design looks very natural and is flexible enough to fit any type of handle. However, the mini-version is simply too small to hold the palm properly.

Sometimes less is more.

Apart from the reduced scale, the design is more or less the same as the normal version, which is very good. DeathAdder’s design has always been one of the best known in the industry, which is what makes it so incredibly popular in the first place.

Although I prefer a smaller scale design, it’s hard to say which one is the best. If you’ve ever used a normal DeathAdder, you’ll know whether you thought this model was a bit too big and clumsy or just good. But if you’re a man with very big hands, the Mini will probably be too small after all. However, people with normal or even slightly larger hands will find no problems with his height.

Optional gripping strip for more stability.

An interesting new feature is the addition of an optional grab belt. The Razer DeathAdder Mini comes with four pieces of custom tape that can be glued to the mouse if you want a stronger grip to hold the mouse more firmly. You can place it under the thumb buttons on the left, on the right – on the curve and the last two – on the main mouse buttons.

It’s a nice option, and I prefer the left and right side of the group handle. However, I have to say that the fact that all four of them look a little ridiculous and reduce comfort a little. The tape is tailored to fit perfectly, but if you’re as clumsy as I am, you get a little tired of trying to record. But even I managed to make it seem a little natural.

I think most people prefer a smooth standard interface, but it’s always nice to have options. It is important to note that after removing the tape from the buttons with your fingertips, it has left no trace of sticky residue so you can fit it.

Performance indicators: Subtle reclassification

Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini Review

Razer mice have always been equipped with advanced sensors that can work at tournament level, and the DeathAdder V2 Mini is no different. On paper, the sensor is less powerful than the Focus+ you see on most new Razer mice, but the difference is not what you notice. Instead of an extreme upper limit of 20,000 DPI, Mini reaches a maximum of 8,500, and if you don’t know what the DPI is, that may sound bad, but the truth is that very few people use just over 4,000 DPI.

For context, one of the most popular mice in professional airports is the BenQ Zowie series, which has a maximum power output of 3200 DPI. And if a normal DeathAdder V2 can reach 20,000 DPI, this is something you need to configure via Razer Synapse, not the default. The fact is that these advanced DPI settings that many major brands add only exist to impress people who don’t understand DPI and assume that 20,000 is better than 5,000.

DPI stands for Dots-per-inch and stands for the number of pixels the mouse pointer moves for every inch you move the mouse. In other words: mouse speed and believe me when I tell you that you don’t need 20,000 DPI settings.

Always ready for the tournament

Even though I knew the sensor had failed, I didn’t notice it during the race. The response time is always 1ms, the walking distance is almost perfect and the 62g design makes you feel faster than most mice with the same features.

The ultra-light design allows you to move your mouse without apparent resistance and with great precision. While the normal DeathAdder V2 is already very light at 82 g, in my opinion the difference of 20 g is very clear and prefers the mini-version.

A conviction costs less, but is no worse than a conviction in

Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini Review

The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini is a cheap alternative to the normal DeathAdder, but despite the lower price it doesn’t look any cheaper. It can work at a very high level, and the 62g design allows the clutch to rotate and play smoothly.

It uses the same high quality design, and the fact that it is cheaper is by no means clear from my many hours of testing. It is a reliable mouse that I will certainly meet the professional scene with open arms.
